On 16-Jan-2022, MPSTDC formally inaugurated the newly introduced river-raftng activity at Bargi dam site on Narmada river. It is most awaited activity for adventure lover tourists. Now tourists can enjoy the thrill of river rafting while doing Jabalpur city or staying at Bargi dam Maikal resort. This activity is available on day time only, depending upon the water level. River rafting will begin from river bank, just below the Bargi dam bridge, use by regular traffic, called Poolghat and goes for 3 kms stretch till Nadiyaghat. While visiting this place, we can find many water sports options which falls in adventure games category like motor-boat ride, water-scooter option, cruise ride, house-boat ride option etc. Thus it is one of the best place for adventure games near by Jabalpur city.
Bargi dam site is approx. 40kms from Jabalpur city in Madhya Pradesh. It is located on south of city area, close to Bargi village. The name of Bargi dam is derived from local Bargi village. Jabalpur city is the nearest railway station and airport for visiting this amazing water sports site. Two possible routes are open for reaching this dam site. First route is via Barela - Rani Durgavati Samadhi where as second route is via Bargi village using Nagpur - Jabalpur highway. Both the route are in good condition and remains operational in all season.
