Introduction

Bahuti waterfall lies in Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh. Geographically it is found in eastern region of Madhya Pradesh. Distance from Rewa to Bahuti fall is approx. 80 kms in north-east direction. It is counted among high waterfalls of state thus it is a popular tourism and leisure destination among tourists. Its approx. height is 145 meters It is ideal for nature tourism lovers which offers good opportunity for nature photography in Madhya Pradesh. This waterfall is formed on river Nihai or Odda. It flows through the valley of Mauganj near Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh state border. This Nihai river further reaches Belan river and it further act a tributary river for Tamas or Tons river. Name of Tamas river comes prominently in to our knowledge when we talk about Sanjay Dubri tiger reserve which is popular tiger safari destination of this region. When we talk about photography opportunities, we can also have chance to have sighting of animals like Bengal Monster Lizard, Hyena, Nilgai, Jackal, Black Drongo, Jungle Cat, Indian Grey Hornbill, Green bee-eater etc. Approach road to this fall is full of scenic nature tourism sites.

Bahuti waterfall lies in approx. 80 kms north-east of Rewa city and well connected by road. Nearest airport option is Prayagraj airport at a distance of 110 kms. Tourists may also use Varanasi airport (180 kms) for reaching this place.

Best time to visit Bahuti waterfall is in post monsoon season. Here monsoon season prevails from July to September month thus months of October - November - December are considered as best time to visit and enjoy nature tourism and nature photography.
