Here in India, tourism season is mainly counted from October to April month. Now question arises why this period is considered as tourism season and not other months ? Even in South India region, majority of places remains unaffected from monsoon till this period. After completion of monsoon, winter season begins which is believed to be best for all sort of tourism activities. Travel routes become open and most of the destinations becomes easily accessible. So climatic condition is one prominent reason. Similarly, majority of European countries have their holidays in December-January month so they prefer this time. At the same time, in order to enjoy the festivals of India, this period is best as after completion, crops were harvested in majority of Indian agricultural states and thus, by tradition, all major festivals were celebrated in months of October - November - December months.
