INTRODUCTION
Patalpani is a waterfall, close to Indore city. It is a popular picnic spot where local people use to visit on holidays. It location is 35kms south-west of Indore city. Many people visits this place in week-ends. Here waterfall height is approx. 150 feet and becomes photogenic in rainy season when waterfall receives adequate rainy water and fall is in its full strength. Being a seasonal waterfall, it gives serious surprise of water in rainy season due to which many accidents took place in this fall. As located in down-flow, in monsoon season, due to rainfall in nearby areas, here waterflow suddenly increases, giving no time for rescue so it is suggested to view from distance. This place is good for adventure lovers as it gives some scope to adventure activities.

Nearest airport for reaching Patalpani by flight option is Indore airport, at a distance of 50kms in east of waterfall. It is well connected airport and connected by tourist taxi service from airport.

Reaching by Train/ Railways :-
Although Patalpani have its own railway station called "Patalpani railway station" but it is connected by narrow gauge which is almost irrelevant mode of transportation in current scenario. So Indore railway station is the best option to reach for visiting Patalpani fall. It is well connected from all major cities and tourist destinations.
Reaching by road:-
Patalpani is well connected by road, from Indore, Mhow and Maheshwar. It can easily be reached in any season by road option. Regular tourist taxi service is available from Indore to visit this place.

Patalpani is a waterfall so during its visit one can enjoy the scenic surrounding nature and can spend sometime close to nature in peaceful atmosphere. Their is not other tourist attraction in this spot but tourists have options to visit nearby pilgrimage destinations like Maheshwar, Omkareshwar etc.
CLIMATE & WEATHER
Patalpani waterfall lies in Malwa region of central India region. In this region, we can experience all three climatic conditions. From November to February, we can experience winter season. From April to June, we can experience summer season with severe heat waves. Usually monsoon reaches either in last week of June month or with July month and lasts till beginning of October month. Thus in this region, Malwa region is blessed with good rainfall from Arabian sea monsoon waves.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
Best time to visit Patalpani fall is from August to November month i.e. from monsoon season to post monsoon period. It is the best time to view the waterflow intensity and do the photography.
