Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival Bhopal Airport - Bhimbetka - Satpura National Park

This will be our first day of tour package which will begin with arrival at Bhopal airport. Our team member will be waiting in front of terminal exit gate with pla-card of guest name. On catching the cab, we will first take some meal or coffee at any good Bhopal city restaurant and drive towards Satpura national park. While taking exit from Bhopal city, we will soon reach the UNESCO world heritage site called Bhimbetka rock shelters. These rocky structures are visible from long distance. Here we will watch and understand the ancient rock paintings by human beings who lives in these rocky caves. After rock paintings photography, we will resume our drive to Satpura national park. On reaching the resort, we will take rest and do our necessary preparations for next morning jeep safari drive.

Day 02: Satpura National Park

Day 03: Satpura National Park

This will be our different activities day. Do morning walking safari in buffer zone. It is basically good for vegetation photography, spiders, butterflies and trees information. It is booked on same day basis and its operation depends on feasibility factors like in case of any frequent tiger movement or heavy rainfall or any other risk factor, park management may suspend it for few dates thill situation will change. Here we will be in company of safari guide. If we are single or double, then more than one guide will be inducted to maintain size of at least 04 pax and then we will proceed. This group size is for guest security from wild animals.Here we will undertake take 02-06 km walk through raw forest and return back to our resort. After some relax and lunch, we will do the boat safari ride. It is a core zone activity and also booked on same day basis. Here boats are offered on per hour basis on first come first serve basis. Here also our forest guide will accompany us. For boat safaris, binoculars are very helpful. It is very good for birdwatching and photography. It also ensures good sighting of crocodiles. Their are many small islands on which variety of birds and crocodiles are often seen. After returning back from boat safari, we will take small rest and then start our night safari drive with sunset. All night safaris are operated only in buffer zone (not in core zone). It is basically to see the nocturnal species. Due to darkness in all around, our visibility will be very limited where torch light or safari vehicle light will fall. It is good for nocturnal species like leopards, sloth bear, procupines, jungle cats, civet cats etc.

Day 04:Satpura National Park

Day 05: Satpura National Park - Panna National Park (08:30 hr)

After breakfast, we will begin our long surface drive from Satpura national park to Panna national park. This will be from south to north direction in which we will leave Satpura range forest  and drive towards Vindhya range forest of Panna tiger reserve. Here we will notice the dramatic changes in topography, local culture, housing pattern, vegetation etc. We will notice that we have left green forest behind and not entered into a dry region with vast rocky arid landscapes, water scared region but once we get closer to Panna national park area, again it will be green with rocky cliffs, waterfall sites. As it is a long drive thus we will not do any other acitivity but relax at our resort and do preparations for next day jeep safaris.

Day 06: Panna National Park

Do morning and evening jeep safaris. Wake up early to enjoy morning safari and later the evening safari at Panna National Park. Here you can capture 200 completely different species of bird like Quail, Paradise Flycatcher, Parakeets, Mynas, Bulbuls etc. Specialty of Panna forest is presence of 06 different Vulture species, seen during winters (Dec-Jan-Feb). This variation is rarely seen in single forest area. At this tiger reserve, we will find table-top plateau based topography which means we will find cascading vast plateaus Ken river valley, Hinouta plateau and Talgaon plateau. Such a terrain naturally forms some Rocky cliff terrains of Panna forest are suitable for vultures for nesting. Thus vultures density of this Bundelkhand region is high in compare to any other region of Central India.

Day 07: Panna National Park

Day 08: Panna National Park

This will be our different activities day of tour package in which we will do morning jeep safari in core zone. After some relaxation and lunch, we will drive to nearby UNESCO world heritage site Khajuraho temples (35 min). Here we will visit Western group of temples compelx in which we will find some very artistically carved 9-10th century Hindu temples with some errotic sculptural work which developes curiosity in visitors. After temples visit, we will return back to our hotel. Take small rest and then do our night safari in Panna buffer zone. Here night safari offers good chance to find cats movement like jungle cat, rusty spotted cat, leopards and sometimes tigers movement. It is equally good for sloth bear sightings. Striped Hyenas are present but their sightings are not easy.

Day 09: Panna National Park - Bandhavgarh National Park (05:00 hr)

After bareakfst, drive from Panna national park to Bandhavgarh national park. This will be a south-east direction visit. Both the forests are on Vindhya range but vegetation is highly different. Panna region is more rocky and plateau based area where as after half joueney, we will start realizing that we are in more green and fertile land where agricultural activities will be good, topography will be more plain, population density will also be improved. On reaching Bandhavgarh national park, take a short rest and freshen up. After taking lunch, get ready for your evening jeep safari drive. This will be our first safari drive in Bandhavgarh forest area.

Do morning and evening jeep safari. This will be our last day of jungle safaris.

Day 12: Bandhavgarh National Park - Jabalpur City (04:00 hr)

After relaxed morning breakfast, we will take leave from Bandhavgarh national park and now drive towards Jabalpur city. It is a historical city on the bank of Indian's oldest Narmada river thus offers sighting river bank ancient temples, boating through marble rocks and marks of colonial past of India. This city is also know for Thuggee system and Thugs. Thus city will offer variety of photogenic sites and bunch of storytelling.

Day 13: Jabalpur Airport Departure

This will be the last day of our tour package. After breakfast, we will see if we have some free time in hand, we will do Jabalpur city tour and later drive to Jabalpur airport (30 min) to catch our departing flight.
