While visiting Orchha, we recommend to visit Ram Raja Temple. It is said that it is the only temples in India where Lord Ram is worshipped as King Rama otherwise in all other temples, we will find Rama being worshipped as lord Rama. This feature makes it unique in itself. Thus in other words, we can say that Orchha is a kingdom of Rama. When we go for Orchha sightseeing and reaches this temple, in first view, it appears like a palace building of some royal family member and have no structural thing that indicates it as a temple site. Reason behind it is the fact that it was originally palace building of Bundela queen Ganeshkuwari who was wife of King Madhukar Shah. Originally Chaturbhuj temple was destined for lord Rama but it was incomplete by the time when Rama statue reaches Orchha and thus kept in this palace for few days. Later on it was found that shifting of lord Rama statue is almost impossible as it was deeply fixed as its temporary position thus ruler decided not to disturb the statue and converted the palace into a temple and separate prayer arrangements were made in Chaturbhuj temple.
