Mohammad Ghaus tomb is a popular heritage site at Tansen nagar of Gwalior city in Madhya Pradesh. It is must visit place while doing local city tour of Gwalior. This tomb was developed in Mughal architecture. Whole building was very airy with stone carved lattices. It was erected on square base with hexagonal towers at its corners. All the corner towers are surmounted by small domes with one large dome is at the center. Here mostly sand stone was used in construction. It is surrounded by green carpet grass garden. Muhammad Ghaus was a popular sufi saint of 16th century. He was born in Gwalior in 1500. He was from Shattari order with additional qualities like musician and author of some magnificent books. He translated the Amritakunda from Sanskrit to Persian with name of Bahr al-Hayat means Ocean of life. He also introduced a set of Yoga practices in Sufism. He died in 1562 at Gwalior thus this tomb is erected here.
