Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival - Gwalior

Our tour will begin with your arrival at Gwalior airport or railway station. On arrival, our cab will be waiting for you. You will be transferred to your hotel for luggage placement and feshen up. As per available time, we will do our local sightseeing. Attend evening sound and light show at Gwalior fort complex.

Day 02: Gwalior Sightseeing

This day will be dedicated for Gwalior city tour. We will use guide service for full-day to do a meaningful city tour. Here we will try to cover Gwalior fort complex in which we will visit Maan Singh palace, Teli ka mandir, Sas-bahu temple or Sahastrarjun temple etc. Here we will take entry from Urvai gate to first witness magnificent rock-cut art called Gopachal parvat which is a long rock-cut sculpture work showcase various Jain religious saints in meditation pose. We can find multiple of statues on both left and right sides of road thus must cover both the sides patiently. Later on visit to Jai Vilas palace museum, Sun temple etc. Here good time management is expected as list is long and we will have limited time in hand.

Day 03: Gwalior - Orchha (03:00 hr)

After breakfast, drive to Orchha as our next destination. It lies in south of Gwalior city. While driving on this route, we will pass through some part of Uttar Pradesh state also. As we will drive on Bundelkhand Expressway, we may not notice state borders and drive swiftly. Orchha is a basically a small township, developed as capital city of Bundela dynasty who had long ruling history, between 16th to 20th centry, in Bundelkhand region. It is located at scenic spot, on the bank of Betwa river. Here major attractions are its fort, palace building, lofty temples and tall river side cenotaphs. Here we will do guided sightseeing in which we will explore Orchha fort, Jahangir palace building, Camel house, cenotaphs, Chaturbhuj temple, Laxmi Narayan temple, Ram Raja temple etc. Do not forget to spend sometime while sitting on Betwa river bank at evening or early morning hours to experience the nature and peace. If interested in photography then just cross the river through bridge and visit sanctuary area to get some good iconic view of Betwa river with cenotaphs, especially during evening hours.
Just note that Orchha is also a wedding destination, now a days due to which, in period from November to February, getting hotel is not easy as it is a Hindu wedding dates period. If you are planning trip in this period then plan in advance to ensure hotel room booking in advance. This destination is not having too many good hotel options.

Day 04: Orchha - Khajuraho (04:00 hr)

After breakfast, we will drive to Khajuraho town, located on south-east of Orchha town. As Orchha is known for Bundela dynasty, similarly Khajuraho is known for Chandela dynasty. Ruling periods were different. Chandela dynasty ruled in 8th to 11th centry where as Bundela dynasty ruled in 16th to 20th century period but both the dynasties left some remarkable prints in the form of their building architectural work. Ochha offered forts, palaces, cenotaphs and temples where as Khajuraho offers temples with amazing sculptural work. Small addition of erotic sculpture work on some selective temples, makes visitors more curious about this destination. It is a UNESCO world heritage site thus must visit palce to cover during this trip. On reaching by afternoon hours, we will visit to famous Aadivart tribal museum (every Monday closed) which offers life style and housing pattern of various tribal population of Madhya Pradesh state, at one campus. Here we will find some details on tribes like Kol, Bhariya, Gond, Baiga, Bheel Sahariya etc. Attend sound and light show. Here we will avoid evening visit to Khajuraho temples, due to sun position in which sunlight falls on backside of temples. Morning period is good as it offers sunlight on temples face which means better photographs.

Day 05: Khajuraho  - Bandhavgarh National Park (05:30 hr)

This will be a busy day. We will visit guided tour of Khajuraho temples in early morning hours. For early morning visit, we may have to sacrifice your morning breakfast. We will take breakfast, after temple visit completion. During temple visit, we will explore Western group of temples and Eastern group of temples. Here temples are arranged in cluster form thus names are given in this way, as per direction from town. Western group temple complex is vast thus need walking. If you have walking problem then wheelchair options are available here. Here we will cover all important temples like Kandariya Mahadev temple, Lakshmana temple, Vishvanatha temple, Matangeshwara temple, Varah temple etc. All of these temples are not active temples still we have to follow the rule of removing shoes before entering into their platforms. Do temples photography from all angles. Later on, we will take breakfast and drive to Bandhavgarh. If we timely complete the morning schedule then we may reach Bandhavgarh by afternoon which gives us opportunity to attend the evening wildlife safari. If you feel, you want relaxed traveling then go slow and on reaching Bandhavgarh resort, just relax at your room, enjoy the campus area.

Day 06: Bandhavgarh Safaris

This day will be dedicated for wildlife safaris. We will attend early morning safari drive of approx 05:00 hrs duration and afternoon safari drive of approx. 3:00 hr duration. Jeep safaris will offer us great opportunity to do wildlife photography in which we will cover tiger tracking, birdwatching, understanding animals behavior, doing forest landscape photography and knowing the old Baghel dynasty history as it was one time private property of Baghel rulers. Here promiment safari attractions will be Spotted deer, Sambar deer, Nilgai, Sloth Bear, Tigers, Leopards, Grey Langurs etc.

Day 07: Bandhavgarh - Jabalpur (04:00 hr)

After breakfast we will drive to Jabalpur. It is located at south-west of Bandhavgarh tiger reserve forest. This drive will be through fossil rich plateau region. Jabalpur is an ancient city on the bank of India's oldest river called Narmada. It is a fact that Narmada river, flowing from Central India to Western India is much older than Ganges and was existing far before origin of Himalayas. Jabalpur have great history of Kalchuri dynasty, Gond dynasty and British India colonial history. It means, city will offer you history of approx. 1500 years. Due to limited time in hand, we will cover prominent sightseeing attractions like daytime boating through marble rocks at Bhedaghat, Yogini temples visit (hill top, need good physical fitness), ropeway ride to get ariel view of river and water fall. After sunset, we will attend holy Narmada arti event of 30 minutes in which we will praise holy river as per Hindu rituals.

Day 08: Jabalpur - Pachmarhi (05:30 hr)

After breakfast, we will take a small city round by car and drive towards Pachmarhi hill station. It lies in West of Jabalpur city, on Satpura range. This hill station is part of Satpura tiger reserve which offers scenic natural hilly surrounding and some natural sites with water falls, natural cave sites. In this day, we will do local sightseeing by our car. Here sightseeing involves lot of walking thus good physical fitness is expected. We will try to visit Pandav caves, Jata Shankar point.

Day 09: Pachmarhi Sightseeing

In this day, we will do full-day sightseeing to cover Pachmarhi attractions. We will do local visit by hiring forest jeep as many sightseeing spots are in hilly terrain and forested areas where cars are not allowed. During this sightseeing, forest department guide will be provided to us. We will try to cover sightseeing spots like Bee-fall, Dhoopgarh, Reechgarh, Handi Khoh, Echo point etc.

Day 10: Pachmarhi - Bhopal (04:30 hr)

After breakfast, drive to Bhopal city. It is a capital city at north-west of Pachmarhi. During this surface drive, we will pass through Bhimbetka rock shelters thus we will cover it while going towards Bhopal. It is a UNESCO world heritage site with natural rocky hill, part of Ratapani tiger reserve. Its main attraction is its ancient rock paintings and its natural rocky shapes. In post lunch session, we will visit another UNESCO world heritage site called Sanchi stupas. It is a Buddhist pilgrimage site with collection of many stupas of different sizes. This will be guided sightseeing. Here major attractions will be Stupas and their magnificently carved gateways. Every gateway potrays some stories associated with life of lord Buddha. After all sightseeing, just relax at your hotel room.

Day 11: Bhopal - Ujjain (04:00 hr)

This day will be dedicated for spiritual activities. After breakfast, we will drive to Ujjain town, located on the west of Bhopal city, on the bank of Shipra river. It is a contributory river to Chambal river. Ujjain is counted among oldest living cities of world thus it is rich in cultural tourism. Here presence of jyotirlinga Mahakaleshwar temple makes it special for Hindu devotees. This temple is devoted to lord Shiva. Mahakaal is a hindi language word which simply means "lord of time". It is a must visit tourist attraction for visitors. In addition to this, we will visit other city attractions like Mahakal lok, Harsiddhi temple, Ram ghat, Sandipani ashram, Kaal Bhairav temple, Iskcon temple etc.

Day 12: Ujjain - Mandu (03:00 hr)

After breakfast, we will drive to south-west direction to reach Mandu or Mandav destination. It is basically a heritage tourism destination at hill top on Malwa region. It is know for its fort, palaces, mosques, tombs of Malwa sultanate. It lies in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh. It has a great history of Parmara dynasty to Malwa Sultanate. Here we will do monuments sightseeing of attractions like Jahaz mahal, Roopmati pavillion, Baz Bahadur mahal, Hindola mahal, Dai ka mahal, Rewa kund etc.

Day 13: Mandu - Maheshwar (1:30 hr)

In this day of tour package, after breakfast, we will leave Mandua and drive towards south direction to visit Maheshwar. It is a combination of heritage and pilgrimage tourism. This will be a short journey thus we will get plenty of time for sightseeing. Maheshwar was an ancient power center of Holkar dynasty during 18th century when Maratha quen Rajmata Ahilya Bai Holkar was leading the dynasty. Here major tourist attractions will be Maheshwar for or Ahilya fort, on the bank of Narmada river. At present one part of the fort is used as a heritage hotel thus we can visit remaining area only which contains garden area, temple site, statue of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar, Shiv linga collection etc. Here we can also do boatride to see Maheshwar from different angle and do ghat area photography. Later on we may go for shopping in local emporiums as this town is known for Maheshwar sarees.

Day 14: Maheshwar - Omkareshwar - Indore

After breakfast, drive to Omkareshwar town. It is a pilgrimage site, on the bank of Narmada river. Here we can find ancient temples on both the sides of river. For crossing the river, bridge option is available. Here main attractions are Mamaleshwar jyotirlinga temple complex and Omkareshwar temple. Due to jyotirlinga temple site, its importance is very high among Hindu devotees. This destination is dedicated to lord Shiva After completion of temples visit, we will drive to our last destination i.e. Indore city. Here we will reach by evening hours thus we will try to attend eatries shop and later on relax at our hotel.

Day 15: Indore - Departure

As per time in hand, we will utilize this day. This will be our last day of tour package. We will try to explore some city attractions like Chatribagh, Kanch temple, Lalbagh palace museum etc. Later on drop to Indore airport or railway station.
