INTRODUCTION

Bagdara wildlife sanctuary lies in eastern region of Madhya Pradesh which is known as prime tiger habitat region. Here majority if forest is spread over Vindhya ranges and plains. This forest is spread over Sidhi district of Madhya Pradesh state. Its name Bagdara comprises two Hindi language words "Bagh" means Tiger and "Dara" means home thus overall meaning is "home of tigers". This wildlife sanctuary was established in the year 1978. It was the time when Project Tiger was already launched in India and Indian Government has recognized the need to save tigers along with their natural habitat.

Best time to visit Bagdara wildlife sanctuary is from November to March. It is the period when monsoon season will get over and visitors can enjoy the jungle safari drives.
