On this day.
Our tour will begin with your arrival at Gwalior airport or railway station. Our representative will be available near the exit gate for your welcome and assistance on arrival. Later ye. In post lunch session, we will do some city tour like visit to Tansen tomb. If feeling tired, just relax at your room and attend evening sound and light show.
This whole day will be dedicated for Gwalior local sightseeing. Here we will travel with an English speaking guide so that we can better understand each place associated history, Scindia dynasty, monuments architecture etc. Monuments list will be long thus we need to follow good time management. Our sightseeing will start, after breakfast. We will do short excursion tour to visit Bateshwar temple, Mitawali and Padawali monuments. In post lunch session, we will cover Jai Vilas palace and Gwalior fort. Just note that fort is a collection of many ancient buildings thus it will take time.

Our day will begin with morning breakfast, followed by cab transfer towards south-east direction. During this transfer journey, we will pass from Uttar Pradesh state. We may do enroute short visit to Datia fort. We will try to reach Orchha before lunchtime so that we can take lunch and attend evening guided sightseeing.
Orchha is a small town whose main economy is based on visitors. It was established during rule of Bundela dynasty in 16th century as their capital township. Due to bank of Betwa river and surrounded by forested land, it was ideal place to be developed as capital city. Here we will find attractions as fort, palaces, cenotaphs and temples. Guide will narrate us the associated stories with temples, forts, palaces. Overnight at a hotel in Orchha.
After breakfast, drive to Khajuraho. This will be drive through Bundelkhand Expressway thus we will have a smooth journey. We will have 2 nights in Khajuraho thus we will try to cover enroute Dhubela museum and its backside grand cenotaphs of queen Kamlapati and powerful Maharaja Chhatrasal. They are collectively called Mau Sahaniya monuments. By lunch time we will reach Khajuraho hotel. In the post lunch session, we will cover the Adivart tribal museum. This will help us to have a glimpse of tribal life of southern and western Madhya Pradesh. On the basis of guests feedback, we recommend you to visit this beautifully conceptualized museum. Here we will not visit temples today because the best time to visit is the morning period.

In this day, we have to start early morning sightseeing. Wake up slightly early to do breakfast in early hours so that we can take advantage of morning time for Khajuraho temples sightseeing. It is golden time for temples photography. We will do the temples sightseeing with an experienced guide. This will enhance our travel experience, understand the history of temples and get answer to many of the questions like when they were built, why they were built, about Chandela dynasty, why erotic concept in temples, social life of that era etc. We will cover Western, Eastern and Southern group of temples. Here the main attraction is Wester group as it encompasses the majority of temples where as other groups are very small. Take lunch in our hotel. In post lunch session, visit the Raneh fall site, approx. 24 km from town area. It is part of Ken Gharial reserve, good for waterfall and ancient rocks information.

After breakfast, drive towards the west to explore Chanderi destination. It lies in Madhya Pradesh state, close to Betwa river, at some height. Chanderi is known for its ancient fort, palaces, temples, handloom industry, multiple water wells (Bawdi) and a well maintained museum (Friday closed). This place falls in the trade route thus it remained politically disturbed due to frequent wars to have control on it and it also resulted in the development of handloom industry. On its local buildings, we will find the impression of various dynasties like Sultans of Malwa, Bundela dynasty, Scindia dynasty etc.
On this day, we will reach this destination by lunch time thus we will be left with limited evening time for local visits. We will visit nearby monuments like Shahzadi ka Rauza. Parmeshwar Pond, Laxman temple etc. After sunset, we may visit the local emporium for shopping of local handloom products. Overnight at a hotel in Chanderi.
In this day, we will do full-day sightseeing with a guide. Here limited guides are available thus we will book our guide in advance. Chanderi is a hidden gem which means, it is still not popular or presented as per its potential. Here large number of monuments are scattered over vast area thus guide service is important to do local sightseeing is best way.

This will be a busy day for us. After breakfast, we will drive towards south to reach the Sanchi stupa site. It is a hilltop site where we will find a park with a collection of stupas, of different sizes. Restored by Sir John Marshall, it is a UNESCO world heritage site. We will do guided tour of this park and try to understand the history of Buddhism, Mauryan dynasty and its Sanchi connection. Later on we will drive to Bhopal city hotel. In evening, we will do small city tour or just relax at our room.

On this day, we will visit Bhimbetka rock shelters for ancient rock paintings and Bhojeshwar temple in post breakfast session. Bhimbetka rock shelter is part of Ratapani tiger reserve and a UNESCO world heritage site. Here, a spot guide will help us to understand the past of this region. Bhojeshwar temple lies about 23 kms away at Bhojpur town. It was developed in 11th century, during the rule of the powerful King Bhoja, of the Parmara dynasty. Later, we will drive back to the hotel for lunch. In the second phase, we will visit the Tribal museum. It can be seen as an extension of Adivart museum, visited by us at Khajuraho. In this way, we will take best use of the day.

Our further journey will be in Malwa plateau region in which we will move from central of western region of Madhya Pradesh state. After breakfast, we will undertake a long drive of approx. 300 km, from Bhopal to Mandu. It is a small fortified ancient township at unimaginable hilltop of Vindhya range. It was originally established as Parmara dynasty capital city till end of 13th century and later Muslim forces captured it. This small town is now known for its baobab trees, fort, palaces, museum, mosque and scenic surrounding views.
On reaching Mandu, we will take rest at our room. In evening, we can visit nearby monuments and witness the scenic view of sunset.

After breakfast, we will do the morning half-day sightseeing with guide. Here we will visit Jahaz Mahal, Hindola Mahal, Asharfi Mahal, Rewa Kund, Baz Bahadur palace, Roopmati pavilion, Jami masjid, Hoshang Shah tomb etc. .
On completion of Mandu sightseeing, we will take a short drive to Maheshwar town. It is a small township and one time power center of Holkar dynasty. Here Maheshwar fort is the main attraction, built on the bank of Narmada river with campus and adjoining temples. This fort is popularly called Ahilya fort, in honor of queen Ahilya Bai Holkar, known for her people-friendly ruling but also her spiritual life. Apart from heritage buildings, this town is also known for its silk handloom work. Its popular product is Maheshwar Sarees, available in local emporiums. Overnight at a hotel in Maheshwar.
Wake up early in this morning to witness the morning sunrise. If possible, visit the river bank area to witness the sunrise and capture the moment on your camera. This will be the best scene of Maheshwar because this river bank is very much similar to ghats of Varanasi. Here sunrise offers the similar view which we enjoy at Varanasi. Later take breakfast and drive towards our last destination i.e. Indore city. It is largest city of Madhya Pradesh state. Here we will visit Rajwada, Chatribagh park in which we will find cenotaphs of Holkar dynasty rulers and royal family members. Later on we will visit Lalbagh palace to witness royal lifestyle rulers. If you are interested in local food than must visit 56-dukaan area to get taste of local foods.

This will be our last day of this tour. This will be our slow moving day with no hurry for anything. Just have your breakfast and if time permits, visit some local temples like Kanch Mandir, Bade Ganpati temple etc . Later drop to Indore airport or railway station, for departure.
