Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival - Indore City

This will be our first day of tour. As per our arrival timing, we will decide either move first to hotel or do some local visit and then do hotel check-in. As all hotels offers check-in in afternoon period thus for early morning arrivals, instead of waiting at hotel, better to do some city tour and do the hotel check-in at afternoon hours. Here we will visit the city attractions like Lal Bagh Palace museum, Rajwada complex, Chatribagh, Annapurna temple etc. During dinner hours, we will explore popular Sarafa market, a street food market, organized late night. It offers option to have taste of regional food items at one place.

Day 02: Indore - Omkareshwar (2.30hr) - Maheshwar (01:30 hr)

This will be the second day of tour package. In this day, we will cover 2 Hindu pilgrimage destinations thus we have to start early in the morning so that we will get more time for local sightseeings. After morning breakfat, we will drive first to Omkareshwar. This will be a south-east direction drive through small villages, hilly terrains. It is a small ancient township on the the bank of Narmada river. Here we will visit popular jyotirlings temple and other temples like Omkareshwar temple, Mamaleshwar temple complex etc. Here we can also take boat ride for sightseeing. For senior citizens and other visitors, VIP darshan facility is also available, need to be booked in advance. By afternoon, we have to comlete this sightseeing. Later we will drive towards west direction to reach Maheshwar town. It was onetime power center of Holkar dynasty, known for ruler Ahilya Bai Holkar ruling period when this township was at its peak time. It is also located on the bank of Narmada river. Here major places to see are Ahilya fort on river bank, adjoining temples. For photography and adventure, visitors can also undertake boatride to have a full view of ghat area and capture whole ghat with fort image on their cameras. Maheshwar is also know for its handloom industry thus vistiors can do shopping of famous Maheshwari sarees.

Day 03: Maheshwar - Mandu (1:30 hr)

Begin the day by witnessing the morning sunrise. Watching this event is a feast for the eyes as view of a river and sunrise makes you feel as we are in Varanasi and enjoying the morning sunrise. This scenic view is for those who wake up early in the morning. Later on, after breakfast, we will travel from Maheshwar to Mandu town. It is a hilltop fortified township thus a hidden treasure of Malwa region. Mandu is also known by other names like Mandavgarh, Shadiabad, Mandav etc. Passing through zig-zag hilly routes, we will reach this small township. At first, we will have glimpses of Baobab trees which are not native to India thus a natural surprise for visitors. Later on we will find a series of heritage buildings with most of them in Islamic architecture. Here we will explore the heritage monuments and buildings of  Parmara dynasty and Malwa Sultanate. Some of the prominant attractions are Jahaz mahal, Roopmati pavillion, Hoshang Shah mausoleum, Jami masjid, Hindola mahal, Rewa Kund, Baz Bahadur palace, Kapoor Talao etc. Here also sunrise and sunset offers a scenic view for visitors.

Day 04: Mandu - Ujjain (3:00 hr)

In this day we will leave Mandu and drive towards Ujjain town. Begin the morning with breakfast and check if anything still not covered in Mandu, we can visit that site and later drive towards north-east direction to reach another ancient township, located on the bank of Shipra river, known for second Jyotirlinga temple of Madhya Pradesh i.e. Ujjain town. Here we will visit Mahakaleshwar jyotirlinga temple and attend Mahakal evening lighting view, Ramghat at its complex.

Day 05: Ujjain

In this day, we will cover the remaining attraction of Ujjain sightseeing like Shree Harsiddhi Shaktipeeth temple, Bade Ganesh ji temple, Kaal Bhairav temple, Sandipani ashram etc. Being an old township with narrow congested routes, we will move slowly through the routes and cover each of these places one by one.

Day 06: Ujjain - Indore (1:30 hr)

This will be our last day of tour package. As per our departing flight or train timings, we will plan this day. If we will have more time in hand then we will drive to Indore and visit some more places as part of city tour and later take final departure at Indore railway station or airport.
