Narsinghgarh or Chidikho wildlife sanctuary is developed around Narsinghgarh fort area. It lies in 90 kms north-west of Bhopal city thus it is best picnic spot and birding destination for wildlife lovers in city. Its name Chidikho is an indicative that it is a birding destination. Here Chidikho is a hindi language word, comprising two different words i.e. "Chidi" means birds and "kho" means nesting site or home thus it is home of birds. It was established in 1978 and managed by Rajgarh social forestry. It comes under Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. Being close to Bhopal capital city of state, this sanctuary have ample scope to become eminent destination in tourism map of Madhya Pradesh. It lies in northern part of Malwa plateau with presence of two important rivers i.e. Kali Sindh river and Parbati river. In addition to this, Chidikho lake is located at center of sanctuary.
