Due to best flight & train connectivity option, we are using Gwalior as our entry and exit point. On arrival at Gwalior airport or railway-station, transfer to hotel. As per available time, do local sightseeing and attend evening sound and light show at Gwalior fort. Overnight at hotel in Gwalior.
We will utilize this day by doing Gwalior city tour. It is a city with many well maintained heritage buildings, monuments, tombs, palace, museum. Thus we will try to cover places like Gwalior fort, Teli ka mandir, Jai Vilas Palace museum, Ghaus Mohammad Tomb, Tansen Tomb etc.
After breakfast, drive from Gwalior to Orchha (140 kms). On reaching Orchha, we will relax and have lunch. Later we will do the local sightseeing. Orchha in Madhya Pradesh is a beautiful small township on the bank of Betwa river. Place is small but very photogenic. Here Hindu god Rama is treated as local king. Here main places to visit are Jahangir fort, Orchha fort, cenotaphs on riverside, Rai Praveen palace, Raja Ram temple, Laxmi Narayan temple and riverside visit. Here post sunset activity is to attend Raja Ram temple arti or attend sound and light show. Overnight at hotel in Orchha.
After breakfast, we will drive to Khajuraho. It is just 170kms away thus we will get at least half day time for local sightseeing. We will do enroute visit to Mau Sahaniya monuments or Dhubela museum site. It is a hidden gem which we must try to visit. Here we will not just visit museum but also the surrounding cenotaphs of Panna rulers (Maharaja Chhatrasal). This will give us glimpse of Panna kingdom. Overnight at hotel in Khajuraho.
Here you can just start the day with visit to Khajuraho temples. These temples are reflection of Chandela dynasty period in which temples making was considered as the duty of ruler and they all did there contributions in the form of temples. Here early morning visit is important as temples are highly photogenic in morning hours when first sunlight fall on their entrance. Thus do early breakfast and quickly proceed for temples visit. Here we will cover Western, Eastern and Southern group of temples. Majority of temples are in Western group collection. In the afternoon, we may do excursion tour of Raneh fall site. Overnight at hotel in Khajuraho.
After breakfast, drive to Chanderi. It is located on west of Khajuraho destinations. It is located on Madhya Pradesh but travel routes passes through Uttar Pradesh. Its old name was Chedi kingdom which was ruled my many dynasties like Kalchuris, Malwa rulers, Sultan of Delhi, Mewar Rajput rulers etc. Thus here we will find diversity in monuments. Night at hotel in Chanderi.
In this day, do full day guided sightseeing. Due to large number of monuments of different ruling periods, we need some local guide to help us in local visit. Here we will visit to attractions like Badal Mahal, Chanderi fort, Khuni Darwaza, Shahzadi ka Rauza, Khandagiri, Kati Ghati gateway, Ramnagar museum & lake, Koshak Mahal, Chanderi museum, Battisi Baoli, Jama masjid etc. Night at hotel in Chanderi.
In this day we will drive from Chanderi to Bhopal. Do enroute visit to Udaigiri caves and Sanchi stupa. Both the destinations reminds us of Magadh dynasty period when Buddhist religion was way of spreading throughout the world. These destinations are reflection of Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhist culture. Night at hotel in Bhopal.
In this day, we will cover two important sites, located close to Bhopal city. We will first visit to UNESCO world heritage site Bhimbetka rock shelters which reveals pre-historic period paintings made by human beings. Later we will visit to Bhojeshwar temple or Bhojpur temple at Bhojpur town which is reflection of Parmara dynasty who ruled over Malwa region of Central India. If we will manage to return back by afternoon, after lunch, we can visit to popular museum of Bhopal. We can choose between museum of Mankind or tribal museum. After sunset, we can spend time at lake side walk to enjoy the view and crowd gathering in this street. Night at hotel in Bhopal.
This will be the last day of tour thus we will try to cover if something is left on Bhopal sightseeing or do some shopping to carry things for friends or relatives. Later on drop to Bhopal airport.

Delay in booking is not a great challenge, we can do the tour by adjusting tour flow and using some budget category hotels at destinations where we face deluxe hotels unavailability challenge. | ||
