Detailed Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival - Raipur / Nagpur Airport - Kanha National Park

On arrival at Raipur or Nagpur airport, transfer to Kanha national park. This will be a 4-5 hr long journey on good road condition with scenic views of local villages, small townships, forested stretches. Views like cattle movement, school going children, game playing children, people gathering on local markets are the common scenes of this journey. On reaching your resort, just do the check-in and relax. In the evening hours, do your safari preparations like charge the battery, check the memory cards status, recheck your permit, id documents, inform the lodge about morning wake up call timing and pack breakfast specifications.

Day 04: Kanha National Park - Satpura National Park (08:00 hr)

After breakfast, drive to Satpura national park (08:00 hr). This will be a west direction drive in which we will go parallel to Satpura range, through local villages and towns. During this journey, you will not notice any major difference in terms of topography, vegetation, local housing pattern as it both the tiger reserves are on same Satpura mountain forest thus have many similarities.

Day 05: Satpura National Park

From Day 05, we will begin your safari experience at Satpura national park. Here we will do morning and evening jeep safari drives. Here jungle safaris are slightly different from other surrounding national parks. If we are staying near Madhai entry gate, then we will have options like normal safari in 3 different routes so route selection is in our hand to change safari locations, in same zone. Then we have full-day safari option also. During safari drive in Satpura national park, we can do lot of wildlife photography. If luck prevails, we can also do tiger photography. Here prominently seen animals are Leopards, Sloth Bear, Wild Dog, Tiger, Sambar, Sambar, Indian Gaur etc. In addition to this, we can also enjoy birding. Some easily seen popular birds are like Crested Serpent Eagle, Shikra, Crested Goshwak, Great Cormorant, Little Brebe, Grey Heron, Common Teal, Black Ibis, Common Crane, Painted Stork, Common Buzzard etc.

Day 06: Satpura National Park

This day will be for activity and experience. At morning we will do the walking safari, with our safari guides. It is done on buffer zones in which we will take a walk of 4-6 kms as per our capacity. After lunch and rest, we will undertake unique boat safari experience of 1 hr. duration. It is also done with forest guide and considered very good for birds and crocodiles photography. During summers, tiger sighting is also possible, by boat. After a gap of approx. 1.30 hrs, we will start our night safari drive in happening buffer zone. Thus all the 3 activities will offer experience which is different from regular morning and evening jeep safaris at different locations.
