If you are planning for a wildlife tour package of Pench national park then you need to do its planning in advance. While doing the trip planning, you will realize that here resorts are located at different locations which are close to some safari gate. At this national park, two major safari gates where popular stay options are available are Turia gate and Karmajhiri gate. They are approx 70 km apart from each other, if we travel from outside public road. Due to this long distance, it is practically not possible for a guest staying near Touria gate to visit Karmajhiri zone or vice versa. Turia gate allows access to Touria zone and Karmajhiri gate allows easy access to Karmajhiri zone. Sometimes Karmajhiri gate is also used by vehicle assigned for Jhamtara zone safaris. Local Ambience While driving from highway to Turia gate, for our resort, we will pass through proper forest area which make us feel to be in jungle trip. While driving from highway to Karmajhiri gate, for a long distance, we pass through only village areas thus visitors often feel as if were are far away from real forest, may be away from real nature.
Distance & Travel Time Turia Gate is comparatively close from Nagpur airport thus travel time is less. Karmajhiri gate is at more distance from Nagpur airport thus travel time is more.
Crowd Touria zone have more vehicle entry capacity and old zone thus this gate remains more crowded Here stay options are very limited thus it is always less crowded thus good for those who want peaceful less crowded safaris.
Safari Permits Quota Touria zone issues more safari permits thus its quota is more. Here less number of safari permits are issued thus its quota is less.
Other zones access Turia gate have many other popular safari zones close to it thus if you are looking for zone variations then Turia gate stay is better choice. Here other safari zones like Rukhad, Khursapar zone etc are at long distance thus it is suitable for those who don't want zone variations and concentrate on same safari zone.
Night safari popularity Staying near Turia zone allows easy access to Khawas zone night safaris which is popular among visitors. Here Karmajhiri Buffer is the night safari zone which offers occasional tiger sighting. Due to less visitors, updates come less in media.
